More news from American Horror Story: Freak Show: Showrunner Ryan Murphy has announced via twitter that Jyoti Amge — the world’s smallest woman according to the Guinness Book of World Records — has been added to the cast. And so begins another season of AHS: Exploitation or Opportunity!
As previously reported, Freak Show is set in 1950s Florida at one of the country’s last remaining sideshow acts. AHS alums Jessica Lange, Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Evan Peters, Sarah Paulson, Emma Roberts, Gabourey Sidibe and Kathy Bates are all returning for the fourth season along with newbies Michael Chiklis, Wes Bentley and — as announced earlier this week — singer/legend Patti LaBelle. 20-year-old Jyoti Amge is the latest addition to the cast. She stands at 2’6 and has appeared previously on India’s Big Brother (known in India as Big Boss) and the documentary series Two Foot High Teen.
Congrats to Ms. Amge! With any luck, the story arc of Freak Show will treat its actors far better than the story of Coven did.
