Cultural disease Ann Coulter was so bad on The Comedy Central Roast of Rob Lowe that the biggest laugh during her set happened in response to Pete Davidson heckling her. That’s right—it was Ann Coulter’s turn to do the roasting, but she was so bad at it, stammering with poor timing and devoid of cleverness, that she got roasted herself. Coulter obnoxiously took the opportunity to shill her most recent ill-fated and otherwise reprehensible book, which she was roundly booed for. It was a terrible strategy on her part—she was bereft of charm, which she would have needed to win over new fans and potential readers.
Imagine being so arrogant as to think you could pull something like this off and then fail so spectacularly.

As is customary during these roasts, all of the roasters mocked each other, but Coulter was eviscerated throughout the night to such an extent that she introduced her set by saying, “Thank you, I want to welcome everybody to the Ann Coulter Roast with Rob Lowe.” A sampling of the jokes directed at Coulter, and Coulter’s seeming inability to laugh at herself is in the clips reel below.
