Assessing the Validity of the Karlie Kloss and Taylor Swift News
Is Karlie Kloss actually invited to Taylor Swift's wedding? Let's investigate.

Wake up, Swifites (and fans of the longtime, multi-layered internet rumors)! Some exciting Taylor Swift–Karlie Kloss news dropped, and someone has to get to the bottom of it. As someone who maintains a proper arms-length distance from the sometimes delirious Swiftie theories, even I was aware of the lore behind the Reputation-era friendship breakup between these two former best friends. So the last thing I expected to see in 2026 was a “confirmation” that Kloss was invited to the party of the century: Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.
My first thought after seeing the news was: There’s no way. How does Kloss, who married Josh Kushner (Yeah, of those Kushners) and rubbed elbows with Scooter Braun during the height of the Braun-Swift beef, score an invite to the big wedding? After “confirmation” from TMZ hit the internet on Tuesday, the internet was divided. Is it actually true? Is anything true? Here’s the so-called evidence we’re working with:
May 30: The Daily Mail publishes a story titled, “Taylor Swift’s brutal wedding invitation snub: Insiders reveal death knell betrayal behind fallout with former A-list best friend” (read in snarky British accent for full effect). The outlet references a “source” who said that Kloss was NOT on the invite list, because Swift has some “friendships [that] have become strained for various reasons,” and “wants to be surrounded by those who can genuinely share the love and meaning of the day, especially the people who have played important roles in her life for years.”
June 2nd: TMZ publishes a story titled “Taylor Swift No More Bad Blood With Karlie Kloss…Makes Wedding Invite List.” Their “sources with direct knowledge” confirmed that Kloss did indeed get invited to the wedding: “It’s all water under the bridge now … the pals actually made up quite some time ago … so, Taylor had no problem adding Karlie to the guest list for the celeb-packed ceremony.” Hm…
June 3rd: Deuxmoi says they cannot independently confirm the news, but they believe it.
Also on June 3rd: Kloss shares a carousel on Instagram with the caption “Summer’s off to a good start,” featuring her children and husband Kushner. Could it be that the top-secret agent inviting guests to the wedding via a mysterious riddle knocked on the door?
More facts of the case: In 2023, Kloss attended an Eras Tour show in Los Angeles, albeit in general admission and not from the coveted VIP section that friends of Tay are privileged to. In a 2024 interview with Yahoo Life, Kloss was asked whether she had a favorite song from The Tortured Poets Department. Kloss responded with, “I’d say the whole album. I mean, her music is classic.” Beef squashed? The same day that TMZ reported on Kloss’s invitation (June 2nd), they also “confirmed” that Benson Boone was invited. Shit, I guess anyone can come! Maybe I’ll be invited next.
The wedding will take place at a mysterious time and location, which is written on a bar napkin locked inside an encrypted briefcase buried deep in the bedrock of a historic American football stadium. In other words, no one knows.
