Politics

On Wednesday afternoon, Attorney General Loretta Lynch announced that she would not seek charges against Hillary Clinton for her office’s use of a personal email account during her tenure as Secretary of State.

“Late this afternoon, I met with FBI Director James Comey and career prosecutors and agents who conducted the investigation of Secretary Hillary Clinton’s use of a personal email system during her time as Secretary of State,” the statement read.

“I received and accepted their unanimous recommendation that the thorough, year-long investigation be closed and that no charges be brought against any individuals within the scope of that investigation.”

On Tuesday morning, Comey called Clinton “extremely careless in their handling of extremely sensitive, highly classified information.” According to Comey, 110 emails sent from her personal server contained classified information.
