On Friday morning, Ben Carson, your one-time endearing uncle who is rapidly descending into a pit of hostile incoherence, answered a question from journalist Katty Kay about whether or not the women accusing Donald Trump of sexual assault are lying with, “No, no, no, no, STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP. Hey, can you turn her microphone off please?”
After Morning Joe host Joe Scarborough refused to do so, Carson followed up. “It doesn’t matter whether they are lying or not. What matters is that the train is going off the cliff. We’re taking our eye off of that and we’re getting involved in other issues.”
As the host attempted to question Carson about the specifics of the claims, Carson asks once again for her mic to be unplugged: “Listen— Listen— Listen— Would you listen for a moment? Do you guys have a plug please?”
