Trump is tweeting way too much this week. Help!
Here’s all the shit we couldn’t cover today:
- Beto O’Rourke is good at some things, like unflinchingly calling out white supremacy and cursing at very opportune times. He’s less good at running for president. But that didn’t stop O’Rourke from relaunching his presidential campaign for the second time since initially announcing his run. He gave a speech in his hometown of El Paso, Texas where he largely spoke of the dangers of gun violence almost two weeks after the city was rocked by a mass shooting that left 22 people dead. “If at this moment we do not wake up to this threat, then we, as a country, will die in our sleep,” O’Rourke said. This is a nice line. It’s probably not nice enough to resurrect his presidential campaign. [Washington Post]
- Hickenloopwho?
- Even AIPAC thinks Israel went too far by denying Congresswomen Ilhan Omar and Rashida Tlaib entry into the country, which… wow. [CNN]
- Cory Booker says he would launch a new office in the White House focused on hate crimes and white supremacist violence if he is elected president. [Washington Post]
- Marcia Fudge, a key member of the Congressional Black Caucus, has backed Senator Kamala Harris for president. [Politico]
Here are some tweets the president was allowed to publish:
