Britney Spears Is Auctioning the Literal Clothes Off Her Back for Louisiana Flood Relief

Latest

Britney Spears teamed up with the Red Cross to mobilize her fan base and raise money for the devastating flooding in Louisiana by auctioning the clothes off her back – exciting news for both Britney Spears fans and RuPaul’s Drag Race season eight contestant Derrick Barry who has probably already thrown at least $500 at this cause with glee.

Kentwood, LA-native Spears is imploring her fans to donate $10 to the Red Cross, entering them in a raffle to win either the outfit she’ll wear to the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards and a signed copy of her upcoming (leaked) album Glory or airfare for two to New York to attend the VMAs and meet her before said awards show. While both are equally exciting, the prospect of owning an actual outfit that Britney Spears wore and wearing said outfit around the house while doing chores or cooking spaghetti is worth the $10 and then some.

She joins Taylor Swift, who donated $1 million to the flood relief last week and Lady Gaga, who tweeted something vague about donating without specifying the precise amount.

Seems fine. Every little bit helps! If you want to donate money and also maybe win a spangled, lace-and-leather something or other that once touched Britney’s bod, you can donate here.
