Bruno Mars Drops 'Versace On the Floor,' and Also Maybe Your Panties

Entertainment

The first single and video from Bruno Mars’ upcoming album, 24K Magic, was meant to make us irrationally joyous. But his new single slows the vibes with low-light, ’80s/’90s Quiet Storm radio, matching silk pajamas, bass-in-your-voice mood music and it’s pretty chill.

While the opening vocals feel a bit rocky, the song gets extra smooth (not quite sure if it’s full-on sexy) right after the one-minute mark when the hook pours over those synths like floodgates opening up as Bruno teases the panties off his probably oiled-up lover: “Ooh, I love that dress, but you won’t need it anymore…” Sorry I’m confidently cheesy enough to like this.
