Carolina Herrera, for the Sophisticated Design Doyenne in You

Latest

The spring 2014 Carolina Herrera collection — shown today in New York — is not what one might call girly. It’s not old, either — it’s just that there’s a level of maturity and a whole lot of elegance, calling to mind a statuesque, worldly, graceful and sage woman of a certain age — much like Herrera herself.

Even though there are some boxy jackets and dresses, for the most part, the shapes and the lines in this collection are fluid. And the prints — squiggles and lines and graphic elements — are never too busy or overwhelming. Fans of cool, effortless glamour, step right up.
