Chris Pratt Visits Kids' Hospital in Guardians of the Galaxy Costume

Latest

Chris Pratt’s campaign to become the most likable actor (person, even) in America continues apace. The actor made good on a promise to visit the pediatric ward of a hospital dressed in his Guardians of Galaxy costume yesterday, having shown up as Star-Lord at Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, much to the delight and surprise of the facility’s tiny patients.

During the promotions for Guardians of the Galaxy, Pratt told Pranzler TV that he would like to use the film’s potential (inevitable) success to make kids happy:

“I stole the jacket and some of the wardrobe so that, if this movie comes out and does what everyone hopes it can, I can follow the example of someone — say, like, a [Seattle Seahawks quarterback] Russell Wilson — and go visit kids.
“If it was a big enough movie to where it would mean something to a kid who’s sick in the hospital for Peter Quill or Star-Lord to come visit them, I’ll do that. That would give me real meaning for this movie, you know?”

During his visit to Children’s Hospital Los Angeles, Pratt handed out toys, let kids try on his costume, visited bedridden patients and sat in at a Guardians of the Galaxy screening.

We wouldn’t expect anything less from a mensch like Andy Dwyer.
