Colin Farrell Discusses Little-Known Friendship With Elizabeth Taylor

Colin Farrell reading a poem at Elizabeth Taylor‘s private funeral last week seemed a bit random, since most of us weren’t aware they’d even met. Today he explained that they only became close in the past year and a half: “How did we become friends? You know, the old story of boy meets girl, and boy pesters girl with too many phone calls at inappropriate hours of the night.” He said of the poem he read, Gerard Manley Hopkins’, “The Leaden Echo and the Golden Echo,” “Elizabeth chose it. It was a tricky poem as well. Even in passing she had me under the thumb, sweating bricks.” Farrell added, “I adore her… still.” [Access Hollywood]


When Oprah‘s show ends Rosie O’Donnell will film her new OWN show in her old studio. Rosie said in a video to Harpo employees, “I just wanted to say: Hi, I’m coming to Chicago.
