'Cool Dad' Takes Son's Porn Problem to Reddit
LatestWhen a dad found his 13-year-old son’s malware-infested porn stash, he wrote a the kid a letter and posted it on Reddit; it quickly became one of the site’s most popular posts. In the letter, he tells his kid that porn is A-OK but the computer-killing spam that often comes with it isn’t; therefore, the son should look up porn on the included list of dad-approved porn sites. I’m not sure if that’s better or worse than walking in on your parents having sex in the middle of your first day of school in front of the guy you have a crush on. Tough call.
I’m all for parents being open about sexuality with their children; my parents avoided the subject and so I didn’t even know where the penis resided on the male body until I was about 15, but I kinda wish this father had added a p.s. that was like, “p.s. Watching this shit when you’re so young will only leave you with bizarre and hilarious expectations of what sex is and should you ever ‘get with’ (‘cool dad’ vernacular!) another human being, you’re gonna be really confused about what’s happening. Also, respect women. PEACE!” You know?
