Donald Trump Refuses to Say If He'll Accept the Election Results, Insists He Should Have Won an Emmy

Donald Trump, who began talking about rigged elections right around the time his numbers started dropping, said Wednesday he won’t commit to accepting the results of the election without seeing whether or not he wins, despite the fact that that same day, his daughter said he would. He did, however, briefly discuss the Emmy Awards, another contest he has never won—according to Trump, they are definitely rigged.

Debate moderator Chris Wallace pressed Trump on his comments regarding a “rigged” election, asking if he would accept the results should Clinton win.

“I will look at it at the time. I’m not looking at anything now, I’ll look at it at the time. What I’ve seen—what I’ve seen is so bad. First of all, the media is so dishonest and so corrupt, and the pile-on is so amazing, the New York Times actually wrote an article about it, but they don’t even care,” Trump said, rambling. “It’s so dishonest, and they’ve poisoned the minds of the voters, but unfortunately for them, I think the voters are seeing through it. We’ll find out on November 8th.”

Trump later advised Wallace, “I will tell you at the time. I’ll keep you in suspense.”

When Clinton noted Trump’s longstanding complaints that the Emmys are also rigged, he was more straightforward.

“I should have gotten it,” Trump said.
