As mothers do, Erykah Badu filmed home footage of her daughter Puma singing Rihanna’s “Stay” while sitting on a spinning hula hoop thing in their home.
A few things: 1) This is a top 5 Rihanna song, one of the few ballads where her vocals sound pristine and powerful. 2) Puma sounds effortless singing it and will most definitely be a little music star down the line, and it goes without saying that she’s a spitting image of her mom. 3) I’ve now seen Badu’s beautifully designed collector’s home several times (previously, a Fader cover story this year) and would like to move in with her.
