On Thursday night night, while promoting his new film Florence Foster Jenkins on Watch What Happens Live!, Hugh Grant reminded us all that he is an asshole. During a game during which host Andy Cohen asked questions about some of his former female costars (Meryl Streep, Julianne Moore, Julia Roberts, Renee Zellweger, Drew Barrymore, and Sarah Jessica Parker). When asked who “makes the most effort” to stay in touch with him, Grant responded, “None. They all hate me.”
The audience laughed at his response, but the next few moments suggested poor Hugh may not have been kidding.
ANDY: Who’s the most down to earth of those women?
HUGH: Down to earth? That’s pushing it. Who’s the one second from the right?
ANDY: Second from the right is Renee [Zellweger].
HUGH: Oh, Renee! Not exactly down to earth. Out to lunch. I guess…Sarah Jessica.
Hugh Grant (of all people) went on national television and said Renee Zellweger (whom he claimed to not recognize) is out of her mind. What an asshole!
