Jennifer Lopez Claims Brett Goldstein Is the Best Kisser

On Wednesday, Andy Cohen‘s clubhouse rolled out the red carpet for the one and only Jennifer Lopez. As someone who religiously tunes in to Watch What Happens Live, it wasn’t the most revelatory episode, but man, did Cohen try. He asked about whether or not Southern Charm‘s Madison LeCroy was the reason for her 2021 breakup with A-Rod (“You know I really have nothing to say about my personal life anymore. I feel like I’m done with that.”); her career plans (“I only wanna do musicals!); and finally, if it was true that she once said she wouldn’t work with Virgos (“I had maybe just had an issue with a Virgo…but I didn’t mean it.”). Lopez did offer a straight answer to one very important question, however…

In a game of “Plead the Fifth,” Cohen asked who Lopez’s best onscreen kiss was: “We have George Clooney, Matthew McConaughey, Ralph Fiennes, Richard Gere, Owen Wilson, Josh Lucas, it goes on and on,” Cohen said of Lopez’s roster of leading men. “Plus movies which are in the can waiting to come out!” Notably, Cohen didn’t include the most obvious rom-com partner of all (read: her two-time ex-husband and two-time onscreen kiss in Jersey Girl and Gigli, Ben Affleck) as an option. And—spoiler alert—Lopez didn’t name him either.

“I’m gonna say my favorite…I just did a movie with Brett Goldstein and I’d say he was the best kisser,” Lopez answered. The Ted Lasso guy??? I have no trouble believing he’s a better kisser than Owen Wilson, but surely, he’s not superior to Matthew McConaughey or, gee, I don’t know, the dude she married twice…

Lopez’s answer sheds new light on all that speculation about whether or not Goldstein’s working relationship, well, wasn’t. Over the summer, rumors that they were hooking up off-screen hit the headlines. Because neither has confirmed (nor directly commented on them), and the discourse largely came and went. In September, Goldstein told InStyle that he was “flattered” to be linked to Lopez, but wasn’t all that comfortable with his personal life becoming public fodder.

“Yeah, that sort of thing isn’t my favorite,” Goldstein said. “It’s near impossible, but, ideally, you just don’t look at any of that stuff because it will make you very uncomfortable. And maybe I should just be flattered that anyone could think that that would be a thing, you know what I mean?”

Well, if Goldstein thought he should feel flattered then, just wait until his publicist calls him about Lopez’s answer!

I speak on this because I have had enough and any real woman would do the same.” [The Hollywood Reporter]
