Jerry Seinfeld Finds Several More Ways to Say He Doesn't Know Kesha

Latest

Earlier this week, the gods in control of the internet brought Jerry Seinfeld and Kesha together in an awkward and important moment that was captured on video and which perfectly illustrated why hug intros should be illegal.

It was at the National Night of Laughter and Song event on Monday that Kesha, 30, attempted to show her admiration for Seinfeld, 63, only to have him vehemently refuse her hug mid-interview and wonder who the hell she was.

In a follow-up Extra TV interview with AJ, Seinfeld doubled down and down on how much he was unaware of Kesha.“I was right in the middle of an interview. It was a little off,” he says, then explains all the reasons he doesn’t know Kesha:

“I’m 63.”
“I don’t know every pop star. I don’t know everyone.”
“When you get to be my age and you’ve done a couple things, you have your own reality.”
“I’m sure I would’ve liked her, but I need to know, Who are you?”

He’s flattered that she’s a fan, but “the TV only works one way. I can’t see out who’s watching.”

“They know, I know him. He doesn’t know me.

After the hug rejection, Seinfeld says he and Kesha laughed about the situation as he thought, Lol I still don’t know her…
