Kim Cattrall Never Even Liked Her SATC Co-stars, Okay?

Undoubtedly someone, somewhere (my mom?) will be upset by this news, if you can call it that: Kim Cattrall, aka Samantha Jones, was never friends with her Sex and the City co-stars. This non-news was revealed to Piers Morgan, of all people, when she told him that she can’t even recall the last time she spoke to Carri—uh, Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristen Davis.

“We’ve never been friends. We’ve been colleagues and in some ways it’s a very healthy place to be because then you have a clear line between your professional life and relationship and your personal,” she told Morgan on Life Stories.

As for the prolonged kerfuffle regarding SATC 3, which almost certainly would have been a huge mistake for all involved, Cattrall also clarified again—hopefully for the last time—that she never had any intention of doing that busted movie, no matter how many bajillions of dollars she was offered.

“I remember so clearly making that decision,” she told Morgan. “And last December, I got a phone call and it was concerning that, and the answer was simply ‘thank you…but no.’”

Parker acknowledged earlier this month that the film was dead, despite having a “beautiful, funny, heartbreaking, joyful, very relatable script and story,” which is almost certainly a lie, considering how SATC 2 came out. Parker cast Cattrall as the villain here, singlehandedly crushing the dreams of three women just trying to follow their collective (money-making) bliss, but Cattrall places blame squarely on Parker.

“This is really where I take to task the people from ‘Sex and the City’ and specifically Sarah Jessica Parker, is that I think she could have been nicer,” Cattrall said. “I really think she could have been nicer.”

Thank you, Kim, for mercy killing this franchise. May its spirit rest peacefully in a rhinestone coffin somewhere in the middle of 5th Avenue.

Tinsley Mortimor has split with her boyfriend, CouponCabin founder Scott Kluth. What is a CouponCabin? Is it a cabin made entirely of coupons? A cabin filled with coupons? A cabin purchased using one (or more) coupons? We’ll never know, because now they’ve broken back up, rendering Kluth once more irrelevant to our interests. According to Page Six:

“Tinsley thinks Scott is a great guy … it was too much too soon,” a source close to Mortimer explained of the split.
“She started filming ‘Housewives’ after escaping a really bad relationship and then jumped right into a whirlwind romance with Scott. She didn’t have time to heal or fully settle back into life in New York.”

Kluth was Mortimor’s first solid thing following the messy dissolution of her relationship with sugar scion Alexander Fanjul, which was reportedly unhealthy to the point of being abusive. Despite things going well with Kluth, his company is based in Chicago, and Mortimor films Real Housewives of New York in…New York.

“Long-distance relationships are never easy. They remain friendly and Tinsley hasn’t closed the door to a possible reconciliation in the future. She wishes him the best, but only time will tell if distance shall make the heart grow fonder,” the source added.
