Lifetime Is Making a Project Runway for Teens
LatestExecs at Lifetime, Television for Women, have greenlighted a handful of new reality series, one of them being a teen version of Project Runway called Threads. That title’s sure to age well.
Co-hosted by Project Runway alum Christian Siriano and actress Vanessa Simmons (daughter of Rev Run), Threads — according to the Hollywood Reporter — will be a competition that “follows teen and tween fashion designers showcasing their talents.”
I will probably watch this no matter what, but if producers are listening I’d like to suggest that they add a survival element à la Kid Nation, and make the teen designers form government and hunt for food in addition to making beautiful clothing. Project Runway + The Hunger Games = $$$$$ and happy viewers.
