Lifetime Plans to Shit All Over Beverly Hills, 90210 With a TV Movie
LatestLike Saved By Bell before it, Lifetime is prepping to ruin teen memories with an upcoming The Unauthorized Beverly Hills, 90210 Story.
According to the Hollywood Reporter, Lifetime is undeterred by the critical panning of The Unauthorized Saved by the Bell Story. Enter Beverly Hills, 90210, announced not long after a Full House movie of the same ilk. This installment of throwback tell-all made-for-TV movies will show the requisite drama between the producers and cast members. The film will also depict the “several near-cancelations and its subsequent rise to ratings hit and pop culture phenomenon,” much like the pre-air promises of the Saved By The Bell Story. Hopefully they’ll at least be a mention of R.E.M.’s “Losing My Religion,” the beach break-up scene and how Dylan always looked 35 and, in hindsight, kind of a predator?
Beverly Hills, 90210 aired for 10 seasons. 2015 marks the show’s 25th anniversary.
