Parents With Daughters 14 Percent More Likely to Support Hillary Clinton Than Parents With Only Sons

Politics

According to a new YouGov/Economist survey, parents with daughters are 14 percent more likely to support Hillary Clinton than parents who only have sons.

The Washington Post goes into more detail about how gender-based appeal has become a mainstay of Clinton’s campaign strategy, for obvious reasons—and how this is a departure from her strategy in 2008.

Parents with multiple children are also more inclined to support Clinton if at least one of their children is female, and the Post adds that the effect crosses demographics, holding among white, black and Hispanic parents alike.
