New DC Films Include Gal Gadot's Wonder Woman, Amy Adams's Lois Lane
Warner Brothers announced an upcoming slate of films which includes about a bazillion DC comics superhero movies to be released between 2016 and 2020, including Wonder Woman, which will star Israeli actress Gal Gadot.
So, great, a shit ton of new superhero movies are coming our way—ten, to be exact. Of those ten, two will star women: Gadot in Wonder Woman and Amy Adams as Lois Lane in Justice League Part One, alongside Ben Affleck and Henry Cavil.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Warner Brothers notes in their press release that there will be “at least” these ten films, so there will probably definitely be more. (SNL was onto something with its Marvel skit a few weeks ago.)
Included in this onslaught are Shazam, The Flash and another damn Green Lantern movie.
In addition to the paltry showing of major female characters, the worst news here is that we’ll have to wait until the year 2018 to see Lisa Bonet’s masterpiece of a husband, Jason Momoa, star in Aquaman.
