A BEACH SOMEWHERE, PROBABLY CALIFORNIA (??)—After years of a stable relationship with the name “Diddy,” Sean “Puff Daddy/Puffy/P. Diddy/Diddy” Combs has decided to rechristen himself once again.
“I’ve been praying on this, and I’ve decided. I knew it’s risky, ‘cause I knew it could come off as corny,” he said in a statement on Twitter. “I’ve decided to change my name again.”
Diddy’s new name is Love, aka Brother Love.
Love will not be answering to Puffy, Diddy, Puff Daddy or any variation of his previous names. He will answer only to Love, or Brother Love.
Love has not changed his Twitter handle, which remains “@diddy.” Will he? “Love” is already taken by the TV series Love, starring Paul Rust and Gillian Jacobs. “Brother Love” is already taken by a band in Nashville. “LoveAKABrotherLove” is still available. For now.
