Pharrell's New Video Looks Like a Musical Tampon Ad

Agile carefree women dressed in white… dancing in a field… gleefully. Any of this sound familiar? Directed by Edgar Wright, Pharrell’s music video for “Gust of Wind” takes place in a forest not unlike Where the Wild Things Are and looks a lot like those unrealistic tampon ads of yore.

Pharrell, still wearing The Hat, corrals a group of women as he sings about the healing powers of a goddess and philosophical things, like, “If you never discover, forever you’ll suffer.”
Suffer is right. Tampax can grab this up and stamp their logo right on it.

Watch it because Daft Punk’s helmets make a cameo as huge stone Easy Glide® spaceships.
