Real World: "You're Not Skinny Enough To Be In Playboy"

On last night’s episode, a male roommate told Callie—who struggles with body image issues—that she wasn’t skinny enough to pose for Playboy, essentially pouring salt on the wounds she incurred from being the daughter of an aerobics instructor.

Even though Callie had no plans on posing for Playboy, the comment affected her in a way that many women can understand… and most men never will. If nothing else, at least it opened up a dialogue in the house about the impossible beauty standards women are told they must live up to.

And even though these other two male roommates are kind of being gross, their honest”guy talk” is at least a little refreshing to hear.
