​Richard Attenborough Has Died at Age 90

Esteemed actor, director, producer, and all-around hero Richard Attenborough has passed away—according to his son Michael Attenborough, he had been in poor health for some time.

Attenborough has appeared in countless films ranging from Brighton Rock in 1947 to 1993’s Jurassic Park. He also directed his fair share—he won two Academy Awards for Best Director and Best Picture for Gandhi in 1982.

He was also known for championing many causes and organizations from the Muscular Dystrophy Campaign to UNICEF. He was made a Commander of the Order of the British Empire, in 1967 and was deemed Baron Attenborough of Richmond upon Thames in 1993. Dude was one badass man.
