Singer Kehlani, a 20-year-old rising star in the music world, posted an Instagram photo from a hospital bed on Monday night, with a caption suggesting she’d attempted suicide. “I wanted to leave this Earth,” she wrote. “Being completely selfish for once. Never thought I’d get to such a low point.”
While the photo has since been deleted, screenshots of the post (see below) show Kehlani’s tatted arm with an IV hooked up to it and a caption that reads, in part: “Everyone is hurt and everyone is in a place of misunderstanding.. But as of today, I had no single wish to see tomorrow.. but God saved me for a reason, and for that I must be grateful cuz I’m not in heaven right now for a reason.”
The caption also addresses Kehlani’s relationship status, which had become a subject of debate on Twitter. Previously, she was rumored to be dating Drake-affiliated singer PARTYNEXTDOOR. Recently, she confirmed a relationship with Cleveland Cavaliers guard Kyrie Irving.
