Soap Star Eileen Davidson Joins Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Cast
LatestBravo is really stacking the lineup for the next season of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills — and now we can welcome soap opera star Eileen Davidson to the cast.
Davidson has appeared on such luminary daytime television programming as The Young and the Restless, The Bold and the Beautiful and even won a Daytime Emmy for her role in Days of Our Lives. You already know that we’re going to see no less than fifteen shots of that statue because there’s nothing a Real Housewife loves more than reminding you of her “real” career.
Davidson will be joining Lisa Rinna as the newbies for next season. Hopefully she can bring on some dramatic story lines without the real-life tragedies of Taylor Armstrong and Rinna can be a lovable loon without the exploited substance abuse issues of Kim Richards.
Radar Online reports that Davidson will be earning a whopping $750,000 for the season, making her the highest paid member of the cast (if other salary reports are to be believed). The rest of the Beverly Hills housewives reportedly earn between $500,000 and $450,000 for the season. That figure puts Davidson on par with The Real Housewives of Atalnta star and Birkin bag ruiner Nene Leakes who, with a salary of $1 million a season, is the highest paid cast member across all Real Housewives franchises.
Between this casting decision and the tossing of the leg, Andy Cohen is on a roll. He obviously feels that paying Davidson all that money will be worth it. And putting a soap opera star on a reality television is pretty brilliant — the crossover of skills should be seamless.
