Suspects Found Guilty In 'Snapchat Rape' of 16-Year-Old Girl

Rashad Deihim and Kailyn Bonia were convicted Tuesday of assaulting “a drunk and drugged” 16-year-old girl in 2014. CBS Boston reports Deihim, now 21, and Bonia, now 20, “were found guilty of assault with intent to rape, indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or older, and kidnapping.”

During the trial, which took place in Saugus, MA, the unnamed victim recalled the assault, saying she remembered being naked and confused as then-16-year-old Tim Cyckowski (who admitted guilt earlier this year) filmed her. “I was getting flashes,” she told the court. Cyckowski ultimately shared the video on Snapchat, where a teenager named Syndee Enos viewed it.

Writes CBS:

[Enos] said she knew the teens in the video, and that she saw the victim being restrained. She recognized Bonia’s blue hair.
“She was holding her down…almost in a headlock,” said Enos [while on the stand]. “She was kind of wiggling around trying to get out of it.”

Deihim and Bonia will be sentenced in early September.
