Teresa Giudice Sued Over "Savage Beating" In Bar Brawl
LatestThe Real Housewives of New Jersey star is being sued over a drunken bar fight that occurred while filming the reality show on location in the Dominican Republic in February. In a lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court Teresa is accused of instigating a violent altercation after spraying champagne around the bar of the Moon Lounge at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino into the eyes of 53-year-old Yolanda Martinez. The suit claims that Martinez and her family politely asked Teresa and her party (which included her husband Joe, Caroline Manzo’s sons Albie and Christopher and their friend Greg Bennett) to settle down, but instead got pummeled. Martinez’s son-in-law Adolfo Arreola, his cousin Jason Gomez and other family members say they received a “savage beating,” with Arreola suffering from severe facial injuries.
The suit also accuses Bravo of “fostering hostility and violence in order to attract viewers.” Thomas Moore, a lawyer for Martinez and Arreola says the network is “absolutely encouraging this kind of anti-social behavior. They drink to excess, they are violent to the extreme and the whole thing is part and parcel of some kind of reality.” A spokeswoman for Bravo declined to comment.
