Thank Abs: The BBC Has Ordered a Third Season of Poldark

Entertainment

Praise the Lord of Light(-drenched Abs): Poldark is definitely coming back later this year and the BBC has ordered a third season, due to air sometime in 2017.

That’s according to Deadline:

Aidan Turner has been set to return for a third season of BBC One drama, Poldark. The BBC confirmed today that 10 new episodes of the Mammoth Screen series will be adapted by Debbie Horsfield from the novels by Winston Graham. A shooting start is imminent with a 2017 airdate eyed. Season 2 is due to air later this year on the flagship channel as well as on Masterpiece in the U.S.

Hopefully that means they’ll get some filming done at the very height of the Cornish summer, so they’ll just have to include some more lingering shirtless shots. Though these May photos snuck from the set of season two do promise some strife between Ross and Demelza while knee-deep in the surf, which ain’t a zero on the hotness scale, either.
