The Star-Studded Roger Ailes Movie Will Arrive Just in Time for the Holidays

Entertainment

The forthcoming Roger Ailes movie will be released in December of 2019, making it the perfect flick to catch with your politically disparate extended family while you’re home for the holidays. Grab a ticket for someone you hate!

The film, which was picked up by Lionsgate after getting dropped by Annapurna due to budgeting issues last October, will feature an all-star cast including John Lithgow as Ailes, Charlize Theron as Megyn Kelly, Nicole Kidman as Gretchen Carlson, and Margot Robbie as a fictional Fox News producer named Kayla Pospisil. That’s a pretty sexy cast for a dark story about the pervasive culture of sexual harassment and intimidation that persisted for years at Fox News, but hey, it’s got to compete with Star Wars: Episode IX somehow.

In addition to everyone else, the Ailes film (as yet untitled) will also feature Malcolm McDowell, Kate McKinnon, Alice Eve, Alison Janney, and Mark Duplass. It will be directed by Jay Roach and written by Charles Randolph.

None of these facts will convince me that this will be a better use of my annual film budget than Greta Gerwig’s Little Women, which will be out just five days later.
