Start your day by parasocially meditating in Pamela Anderson’s garden. That’s what I’m doing, at least.
My default routine on any other morning would be to open my eyes and immediately absorb an unhealthy amount of pop culture updates, but where’s the whimsy in that? What if your first waking moments were spent in the quiet magic of a celebrity’s garden? One better, national treasure, Pamela Anderson’s garden?
On Thursday, Anderson blessed us with even more garden content in the form of an Instagram reel showcasing her massive ethereal kick-ass garden, and I’ve already watched it 500 times. I’m officially even more of a stan. The fake PR relationship stunt last year was iconic, but learning even more about her elite gardening game has sealed the deal. I live here now—in this Instagram reel. Treat yourself to 38 seconds of pure bliss:

I finally feel peace, even though this puts my apartment cactus to f*cking shame. Also willing to bet Anderson’s homegrown lettuce doesn’t have diarrhea-inducing parasites. Garden envy is real, but I’ll try my best to keep my thoughts positive.
After doing some digging (ha) into this garden—because I must know more—It’s even cooler than my first impressions. In a profile for Architectural Digest last year, she described the garden as “provencal:” “It’s wildflowers and herbs and vegetables mixed in. I’m combining the rules of gardening and more of my whimsical nature,” she said. The Anderson family has occupied this 7-acre estate on Vancouver Island for decades, where she and her sons now tend to the garden and, when they’re not filming garden content, donate excess harvest to food banks, soup kitchens, churches, neighbors, and friends.
The garden’s success, according to Pamela, is due to its volcanic soil. “It feels like an interesting vortex. Even my gardener says, “I don’t know what’s going on in this garden, but it’s so happy.” And after watching the video a couple more (37) times, I certainly seem happy.
“The garden is such a metaphor,” she told AD, “You can replant your garden every year, rotate your crops. I started learning a lot about it and thought, This is how I want my life to be.” OK. This is officially how I want my life to be, too. Starting now. I’m going to move into a big pumpkin in this garden, and hopefully no one will notice.
