Trump Ousts Aide Over Disappointing Phoenix Rally Crowd Size

Politics

Untreated anal fissure Donald Trump has reportedly fired another member of his dwindling inner circle, this time over his apparent disappointment of turnout at last week’s rally in Phoenix, Arizona.

Bloomberg reports that longtime Trump event organizer George Gigicos will no longer manage Trump rallies after the Phoenix Convention Center failed to reach maximum capacity during last week’s campaign event. Based on the Bloomberg report, it’s unclear why Phoenix’s rally was the last straw for a man who has consistently lied about the number of people who show up to watch his depraved rants, but he was reportedly “displeased” by the amount of empty space. Gigicos did not respond to Bloomberg’s request for comment.

Of course, in public, Trump boasted about the size to everyone. “Wow, what a crowd, what a crowd,” he said when opening his speech. (He also said, “There aren’t too many people outside protesting,” when, in fact, there were many, many, many people outside protesting).

He again remarked on the size in a tweet after the rally:

And then boasted about its massiveness when speaking with Finland President Sauli Niinisto on Monday. “You saw the massive crowd we had,” he said. “The people went crazy when I said, ‘What do you think of sheriff Joe?’ Or something to that effect.”

Remember, too, that Trump told Niinisto he pardoned very bad man Sheriff Joe Arpaio as Hurricane Harvey stuck because he “assumed the ratings would be far higher than they were normally.”
