‘Praise Be to Allah’ Posts Trump, in Deranged Easter Morning Rant

The President is not well. It has become beyond clear that Donald Trump is in severe, erratic mental decline, and we’re all just forced to sit back and watch as the President of the United States’ brains begin to leak out from his ears. This has all been apparent for a long time, of course. We’re all so inured to his crazy, to the constant flouting of the expectations and responsibilities of his office, that we eventually start to earnestly believe, or subconsciously adopt the idea, that nothing he can say will leave us agape at this point. We watch as he attempts to illegally seize control of U.S. elections via executive orders, or burns $1 billion per day on a war in Iran that has devastated the entire world economy, and assume that there must be at least some base, animal cunning behind it all. But then Easter morning rolls up, and Trump unleashes something like the below post for no good goddamn reason, and we’re forced to confront what is suddenly obvious: He has no plan, and he has no functioning brain. Invoke the 25th Amendment immediately, for the good of the nation.

Where to even start? With the President of the United States dropping an F-bomb on Easter morning, on his own social media company that he owns in defiance of the rules of his office? With the threats of war crimes, like striking civilian power plants, bridges, water treatment centers and other pieces of key infrastructure in Iran that support the approximately 93 million people who reside there? Or with the completely inexplicable “praise be to Allah” that he chooses today, of all days, to throw out there? Fuck, is Donald Trump even aware of what day it is? Is it possible that he was bitten by a bat within the last week and is spiraling into some kind of rabies-fueled dissociative state? What could possibly have been going through his head as he was queuing this sentiment up at 8:03 a.m. on Easter morning, while American children were hunting eggs and digging through their Easter baskets and accidentally ingesting strands of shredded plastic “Easter grass”?

Is this some kind of utterly bizarre way to move the conversation off the topic of Trump’s physical health, given that speculation has been running rampant over the last 48 hours or so that he had been sent to Washington D.C.’s Walter Reed Medical Center for more of his mysterious treatments that had an odd tendency to link up with fresh bruises and discolorations of his body? And if so, is making people question your mental health really a great alternative to having people question your physical health? It doesn’t strike us as an improvement.

When I first saw that Truth Social post above, posted several times by acquaintances on Facebook, I immediately discarded it mentally as something that must be fake. Left wing boosters/influencers, for all their high-minded claims of moral superiority, rarely miss an opportunity to regurgitate fake Trump content, all too often clinging to “ends justify the means” mentality in which objective truth is a luxury they believe they can’t afford. This post seemed like exactly that type of instance. The F-bomb? The random invocation of Allah? I’ve seen fake Trump posts like this before. I felt like I had a pretty decent handle on exactly how out of bounds a Trump post could get, and that’s coming from someone who follows this shit on a daily basis for his professional employment. When I saw that this was a 100% real post, my mouth literally fell open. Trump has exceeded even the most frothing parodies of Trump. No mentally sound person in his position would ever, ever post this. And shame on any members of the media who don’t immediately call out this kind of clear mental degeneracy.

Every single person who allows this late-stage dementia-addled man to continue in office for a single additional minute belongs in The Hague.

That this would happen on Easter of all days is truly an inspired touch of madness. Those who work to justify Trump’s madness for a living will claim that the “praise be to Allah” is merely mockery of the President’s Islamic Iranian enemies as the United States readies another round of missiles and bombs to send them “back to the stone age”–the same people, mind you, that Trump claimed to be wanting to free and liberate a month ago when the war began. But Trump is entirely too stupid to realize that there’s at least some slice of his militant evangelical/Christian nationalist base who won’t buy that he’s “trolling” here. That Trump is a fake Christian who only (extremely half-assedly) adopted the appearance of religiosity as President for political points is extremely well established, and he barely ever even tries to keep up the charade. Look at that post above again–does Trump claim that Christianity will triumph, or that he’s leading America in God’s name? Nope. Did he also post an Easter message this morning with anything to do whatsoever with Christianity? Nope. Iran is quite literally the only thing that the President has posted about on Easter, as I write this. Again, I have to wonder if he’s even aware of the date, because it’s entirely possible that he is not.

It’s scary out there, folks. What will the President post–or more importantly, what will he do–tomorrow? And what would it take for Trump’s cabinet to acknowledge his complete mental atrophy and take action via the 25th Amendment? If he drops a nuke on Iran, would that even do it? Or would they all prefer to go down with this ship of fools?
