Trump’s Advisory Councils Disband But Who Cares? He Never Liked Them Anyway
PoliticsAfter Donald Trump #NotAllNazis’d Charlottesville, insisting that there were many “fine people” marching alongside the neo-Nazis, white supremacists, and KKK who killed one woman and injured more than a dozen others as they protested the removal of a Confederate Monument, anyone with even one minuscule shred of humanity left has been running away from him as fast as they can.
This includes, as of Wednesday, about one quarter of Trump’s presidential business advisory councils on American manufacturing—including Merck CEO Kenneth Frazier, Under Armour’s Kevin Plank, and Intel head Brian Krzanich—and, according to the New York Times, the entire Strategy and Policy Forum. While these councils are more ceremonial than policy-oriented, they are undoubtedly important to a megalomaniac who fashions himself as the next (and probably also the original) Rockefeller.
