One thing we can always count on is Vivienne Westwood’s eternally unapologetic punk-rock attitude, whether she’s parading around a bloody doll in protest or driving a tank to Prime Minister David Cameron’s house. And when it comes to glossy fashion mags? She doesn’t have time for such rubbish.

“I never read fashion magazines — I don’t know what they have to say, honestly,” Westwood said to the New York Post. “I just tell them what I have to say when I get the opportunity.” That’s quite alright, mom.

Westwood’s October 3 spring 2016 show titled, “Mirror the World,” was inspired by saving the city of Venice, which is sinking due to climate change.
