Watch the Trailer For the Upcoming JFK Jr. Documentary, Appropriately Titled I Am JFK Jr.

Some of us remember John F. Kennedy Jr. as the little boy who famously played under his father’s desk and saluted his casket. Others remember him as a fixture of ‘90s tabloids and society gossip. Me? I think of him as the almost-boyfriend of Elaine Benes. But regardless of how you remember the man, who died tragically in a 1999 plane crash along with his wife and sister-in-law, you may learn something new about him in Spike TV’s upcoming documentary I Am JFK Jr.

The trailer, released Tuesday, combines old footage of Kennedy with talking heads (of varying levels of fame) sharing their most stirring memories of him. An activist named John Perry Barlow recalls a conversation with Kennedy in which he said, “Everybody expects me to be a great man. I wonder if it wouldn’t be a more interesting challenge to make myself a good man.”
