FOX is pulling prank-dating show I Wanna Marry Harry from its lineup, effective immediately.
The dating show — in which 12 American women were flown to the UK to vie for the attentions of a mysterious bachelor they were told nothing about, but who was a Prince Harry lookalike — wasn’t getting good ratings. As Variety‘s Rick Kissel writes:
On Tuesday of this week, both “Harry” and “Riot” did a 0.4 rating/1 share in 18-49, with the former drawing less than 1 million viewers and the latter pulling in about 1.1 million. No original series on one of the Big Four networks has ever rated lower.
Ouch. Well, it’s not like they spent a shitload of money on an epic location, helicopter rides and faux-security… oh, wait.
