Which Celeb Had the Best Dress at the Heart Truth Red Dress Event?

Last night, the 11th annual Heart Truth Red Dress fashion show kicked off New York Fashion Week. The event is sponsored by the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute; Surgeon General Dr. Regina Benjamin told ABC News: “Heart disease is the number one killer of women in this country and we want to raise awareness of that. We want women to know that it’s preventable.” Kelly Osbourne put it this way: “We have to look after ourselves, we have to check, the heart is the center of our being and if that doesn’t work then we’re all fucked.” Okay! Let’s take a look at the dresses, shall we?

Ultra-glamorous sequined brick red David Meister dress on Jamie Chung.

Cute shift dress on Pamella Roland — who designed the not-so-great asymmetrical hemline on Gabrielle Douglas.

Red scarf — and socks! — on J. Alexander.

Not in love with the lace panel on Jillian Michaels‘ Cushnie Et Ochs dress.

Class act! Dr. Regina Benjamin, in uniform. And there’s Cindy Parsons, the first non-celebrity to walk the runway. According to ABC News, Ms. Parsons lost 77 pounds and lowered her blood pressure and cholesterol as part of a $100,000 grant to her town for heart health. (She’s wearing Adrianna Papell.)

Savannah Guthrie‘s Carolina Herrera dress is kind of meh: Heavy satin with a “quirky” back accent. Looked better on the runway, though.

Much prettier is the ruffled strapless Reem Acra on retired gymnast Anastasia “Nastia” Liukin. Australian snowboarder Torah Bright looks great, but is anyone else weary of mullet hems?

Kelly Osbourne does that bombshell thing she does so well. The hair is kind of a mess. But the Zac Posen dress is gorgeous. And check out the teeny hearts on her nails!

Beautiful Roselyn Sanchez looks beautiful in lacy red Tadashi Shoji.

Minka Kelly‘s Oscar de la Renta gown is one of the best in this bunch — that dramatic neckline, that chic belt, that train! Like something Hedy Lamarr or Barbara Stanwyck would wear.

Wendy Williams‘ Norma Kamali/Kamali Kulture dress might not be the most flattering for her shape, but it —and her shoes and bling — are cool.

This event is very important to Toni Braxton; ABC News reminds us:

Before she was diagnosed with lupus, the Grammy Award winner was diagnosed with heart disease and had a minor heart attack.

She looks smashing in Herve L. Leroux.

With so many strapless dresses, the draped cowl neck on Brenda Strong‘s Marc Bouwer gown stands out. Soledad O’Brien is stunning in her Black Halo Eve dress. What you can’t see here is the saucy leg slit.

15-year-old Kylie Jenner flirts in a slinky, seductive Badgely Mischka gown.

Kendall Jenner also wore Badgely Mischka. Lovely lines, awesome shoulders, peek-a-boo keyhole. Dig it. Gorge.
