Y/N: Time to Weep In a Corner for 10 Minutes to Björk's New Video

EntertainmentMusic

Y: Björk’s 10-minute video for “Black Lake” (premiered at the MOMA) features her singing from within the walls of a cavernous structure that slowly crumbles and erupts. It’s about darkness, entrapment, eternal emptiness, feelings and all that. [Pitchfork]

Y: Casey Veggies’ video for his sweet as hell ode to the ride-or-die ’round the way girl makes me want to cruise the streets in a jeep. Dej Loaf is expectedly sugary on the hook. [Miss Info]

N: Kiesza does some interpretative dancing in front of animated backgrounds in the “Stronger” video that gets tired after like 30 seconds. [Idolator]

Y: Leon Bridges is def specifically trying to woo me in his video for “Smooth Sailing” (which stays true to his Four Tops aesethetic) and it’s working. [Stereogum]

N: The bobblehead animation in Nate Ruess’ video for “AhHa” completely freaks me out and this annoyingly screamy song isn’t even worth the nightmares. [YouTube]

Y: Faith Evans and Keke Wyatt aren’t getting enough love for this seductive video that features Keke licking handcuffs and trying her best to gyrate while Faith lounges on a Chaise. This is undeniably great. [This Is RnB]

Y: Dej Loaf is back to being casually unapologetic and threatening on “Like a Hoe.” [Spin]

Y: Tuxedo (Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One) shot their video for the retro disco dance floor cut “R U Ready” in super lo-res throwback style found footage and it’s perfect for this. (Note that Jean Grae did a similar thing). [Miss Info]

Y: Vic Mensa’s inflections and mannerisms are so Yeezy that it’s distracting here. However, this video for “U Mad” makes me want to grind in a basement party that’s only lit by infrared light. [Billboard]
