Zoë Kravitz Called Out Her Ex…Employer
“This is tacky @hulu,” Kravitz commented under her ex-employer's Instagram post. Hey, if you cancel her show, don't expect an invite to the wedding!

Since she was spotted walking around London with a huge diamond ring on her ring finger, Zoë Kravitz has not known peace. For the next week following the outing, the sharks (like yours truly) were circling to see if it could really be true: Could Kravitz and Harry Styles really be engaged after eight months of dating? The next week, it was confirmed. And since then, Kravitz has gone out of her way to avoid being the subject of more engagement fodder. Exhibit A: putting her left hand into her bag whenever she spots a camera nearby. Or Exhibit B: notably not wearing the ring to Monday’s Met Gala. But now Kravitz is stepping out from behind her private facade to set the record straight, namely with her ex-employer, Hulu.
On Wednesday, Kravitz called out Hulu for referencing the engagement news on their Instagram. Last week, Hulu posted a still of an old Kravitz banger, High Fidelity, with the caption “Robyn Brooks definitely has Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally on her playlist.” (That was Zoe’s character in the show, and that’s Harry’s new album, ICYMI.) It’s the kind of corporate filler post that I would have blindly scrolled past. But not Zoe.
“This is tacky @hulu,” she commented under the post. Fair!

In 2020, Hulu canceled High Fidelity after one season, despite the strong ratings. So, I feel bad for whatever social media intern thought this post was a good idea, because Kravitz is still holding a grudge. They canceled her show, and now they want an invite to the wedding? She is rightfully pissed.
This isn’t the first time Kravitz has called out Hulu, and it’s not the first time she’s called them out in an Instagram comment. After the series was canceled, the cast lamented in the comments of Kravitz’s goodbye post, where she wrote, “At least Hulu has a ton of other shows starring women of color we can watch. Oh wait.” Well, did she lie? The show was a critical success, and even though it was the height of COVID, other new shows, like Love, Victor, were being renewed for second seasons.
In other related news, Styles is shaking ass in the new music video for his single “Dance No More,” and he couldn’t look happier. Congratulations to the betrothed, and hey @hulu, bring back High Fidelity.
