Bristol Palin Gets Her Very Own Reality Show

The apple doesn’t fall far from the tree: Bristol Palin, like her mom, will star in her own reality show. The as yet untitled series has been picked up by BIO (the channel formerly known as The Biography Channel), which has ordered 10 half-hour episodes, and is set to follow “Bristol Palin’s move from Alaska to Los Angeles with her son, Tripp, to work at a small charity.” She will be moving in with fellow Dancing with the Stars contestant Kyle Massey—with whom she’s become “best friends”—and his brother Christopher.

The show could be a smart move for BIO—Palin was a ratings hit on DWTS and reality shows featuring teen mothers are all the rage, with tons of potential for free press. On BIO exec said, “Her personal life has been playing out in the media for several years but this will be the first time she’s opening up her real life, with her son and her friends the Massey Brothers.” The show is set to premiere in late 2011.
