Comment of the Week: ‘I Am Not “Under-Babied,” Zero is the Exact Number I Want.’

ICYMI, we don’t care for Dr. Oz’s new vocab word, “under-babied.”

Dr. Oz
Comment of the Week: ‘I Am Not “Under-Babied,” Zero is the Exact Number I Want.’

MAGA went hard with the pronatalism agenda this week. After a weird week of dissecting MAGA moms’ creepy take on Mother’s Day (the lowlight of which was Katie Miller saying “peak feminism is having babies”), listening to RFK Jr. complain that teen sperm count is down, and parsing through the newly unveiled MomsDotGov, we’re long overdo for slamming our laptops shut, and trying to forget we ended up in this timeline for 48 brief hours.

But not before perusing some comments!

On Monday, Trump and the Medicare and Medicaid Administrator Mehmet Oz spoke to press in the Oval Office about MomsDotGov, and Oz casually dropped his favorite word into the conversation: “under-babied” (shudder)—an adjective he added to his vocabulary back in October, when he argued that “one in three families don’t have the number of babies they desire.”

To demonstrate how much we despise Oz’s new vocab word, we will be awarding this week’s prestigious Comment of The Week award to user @Garland137, who commented on “The Trump Admin’s MomsDotGov Website Is ‘Gaslighting 101:’”

Medicare and Medicaid Administrator Mehmet Oz repeated claims that one in three Americans are “under-babied.” I am not “under-babied.” Zero is the exact number I want.

The fact that people might not want kids or choose not to have kids doesn’t cross the MAGA mind, because to them, the “most radical thing a woman can do is embrace her biological destiny” (That’s Katie Miller, again).

Under threat? Certainly! But under-babied? No.
