Congrats to Hailee Steinfeld on Her Fire Horse Baby
Legend has it that baby girls born this year will become fearless, independent leaders who terrify men—and Steinfeld announced Thursday that hers has arrived.

While 2026 will likely go down in history for a lot of bad things, it might also be remembered as the year millions of unapologetic, society-destroying women who scare men were born. Here’s hoping!
With that in mind, huge congrats to Hailee Steinfeld.
“Our baby girl has arrived!!” Steinfeld wrote on her Substack, Beau Society, on Thursday. “We’re feeling incredibly grateful and blessed and savouring these early moments. Thank you so much for the love and well wishes.”
Steinfeld married Buffalo Bills’ quarterback Josh Allen in May, after dating since 2023, and announced her pregnancy—also on her Substack—in December.
While her pregnancy meant she had to skip the Oscars, where Sinners was the most-nominated Oscar film of all time and took home four awards, I imagine it was worth it—not just to have a baby, but to have a Fire Horse baby.
As Jezebel has previously documented, 2026 is the year of the Fire Horse in the Chinese zodiac. Legend has it that baby girls born during Fire Horse years (which only come around every 60 years) are destined to defy societal norms and ruin men! Huzzah!
