Did JD Vance Read a Different Set of Epstein Files?

For a few peaceful days—right after the Justice Department uploaded more than three million pages of the Epstein files—Vice President JD Vance’s social media channels went gloriously and uncharacteristically dark.

But Vance wasn’t taking time to contend with the fact that his boss is mentioned in more than 5,300 files, including (uninvestigated) allegations of rape and pedophilia. No. Rather, he was just formulating another shitty take.

Speaking to the Daily Mail on Tuesday, Vance claimed that the files actually exonerate Trump, that the president is “very much outside” of Epstein’s “social circle,” and that while Trump “certainly has similar wealth and power…he was never really friendly with Epstein in a way that a lot of these other people were.”

This is the same guy who, in 2021, tweeted: “Remember when we learned that our wealthiest and most powerful people were connected to a guy who ran a literal child sex trafficking ring? And then that guy died mysteriously in a jail? And now we just don’t talk about it.”

“I think that it just shows there’s an incestuous nature to America’s elites,” Vance continued, “and it’s pretty gross. And a lot of people, I think, it reflects very poorly on them. Bill Gates, Bill Clinton, a lot of others.”

I mean, yes. Gates and Clinton are mentioned plenty, and it does reflect poorly on them—just as it reflects poorly on Trump, Lutnick, Elon Musk, Brett Ratner, and at least a dozen other MAGA-circling freaks, who are also mentioned plenty.

Vance further said he would support British Prime Minister Keir Starmer’s calls to bring Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor to Congress to testify, especially after an incriminating image of the disgraced royal mounted on top of an unidentified woman emerged in the newest files. The Clintons have also agreed to testify amid increased pressure, but members of Trump’s cabinet are not being summoned in the same way. I wonder why.

James Comer is bringing Hillary Clinton before his committee to testify about Epstein despite having zero contact with him, but not Epstein’s neighbor Howard Lutnick who lied about his connections to Epstein over many years which is proven in the files.

Also on Tuesday, Trump suggested the U.S. start moving on from the files, saying “it’s time for the country to get onto something else.” Speaking about the Clintons being asked to testify, the president said, “I think it’s a shame.” “I always liked him,” he said of Bill. “Her?” he continued, referring to Hillary. “Yeah, she’s a very capable woman who’s better at debating than some of the other people. I’ll tell you that. She was smarter, smart woman.”

Big words for dumber, dumb man.
