Guess Who’s Mad About Kathy Hochul’s Endorsement of Zohran Mamdani???

On Sunday, New York Governor Kathy Hochul penned an essay for The New York Times. The title? “Why I Am Endorsing Zohran Mamdani.”

“The question of who will be the next mayor is one I take extremely seriously and to which I have devoted a great deal of thought,” Hochul began the op-ed. “I am endorsing Assemblyman Zohran Mamdani.” Given the only other options in the race for Hochul to endorse are current mayor and utterly unserious shyster, Eric Adams; former governor and alleged sex-pest, Andrew Cuomo; and prolific liar, Curtis Sliwa, this essay is absolutely overdue, but alas…

According to Hochul, she and the mayoral frontrunner have shared a number of “frank conversations,” and while there have been some “disagreements,” she identified at least two important shared goals: making New York City affordable, and refusing to capitulate to President Donald Trump.

“Affordability has long been my top priority as governor, and it is the No. 1 concern I share with Mr. Mamdani. As governor, I’ve taken actions to realize this goal, including lowering middle-class income taxes and making school meals free for all students. But there is more work ahead of us,” Hochul wrote. “And in light of the abhorrent and destructive policies coming out of Washington every day, I needed to know the next mayor will not be someone who would surrender one inch to President Trump.”

Naturally, Trump had a response to Hochul’s statement. On Monday at 4:07 a.m., he posted on Truth Social: “Governor Kathy Hochul of New York has endorsed the ‘Liddle’ Communist,’ Zohran Mamdani, running for Mayor of New York. This is a rather shocking development, and a very bad one for New York City. How can such a thing happen? Washington will be watching this situation very closely.”

Trump added: “No reason to be sending good money after bad!” Is that…a threat to withhold federal funds should Mamdani take office? Why yes, I believe it is!  The post comes just days after Trump told Fox and Friends that he’s anticipating a Mamdani victory despite his apparent allegiance to Cuomo.

“I’m not looking at the polls too carefully, but it would look like he’s going to win,” Trump said. “And that’s a rebellion.” As someone who is carefully looking at the polls, Mamdani has been dominating the race for well over a month now. Meanwhile, Cuomo is walking in fashion shows, and Adams is refusing to bow out of the race despite losing. Badly.
