Hillary Clinton Launches Cell Phone Effort To Improve Maternal Health

Yesterday Hillary Clinton announced a new program that will deliver health information to mothers in developing countries using cell phone messages. The Mobile Alliance for Maternal Action, or MAMA, was created by the U.S. Agency for International Development and Johnson & Johnson, with support from the State Department among others. It will focus on giving women with little access to health care information on pregnancy, caring for infants, and family planning.
