Lauren Boebert Is Still Talking About Pizzagate

The House Oversight Committee actually released footage from the Clintons’ depositions last week about their alleged ties to Jeffrey Epstein, and now we know why Rep. Suhas Subramanyam (D-Va.) said that former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton “ran circles around Republicans the entire time”—though even that’s a generous assessment of how unserious the GOP’s questions were.

During Hillary’s six-hour hearing, Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) used her allotted time to talk about Pizzagate—yes, the debunked 2016 conspiracy theory alleging that Clinton ran a child sex-trafficking ring out of a Washington, D.C., pizza restaurant. “Have you reviewed any 2025, 2026 Epstein files that were released that you believe reference or relate to those specific 2016 claims regarding the [John] Podesta emails Comet Ping Pong pizza, used as code, possibly?” Boebert asked. (Pizzagate was, to reiterate, entirely fabricated.)

“Pizzagate was totally made up,” Hillary replied. “It was an outrageous allegation that ended up hurting a number of people, that caused a deranged young man to show up with his assault rifle and shoot up a local pizzeria. I can’t believe you’re even referencing it.”

“I mean, I expected a lot of interesting questions today,” she later continued, “But Pizzagate was not on my list.”

Boebert was also the one to derail the proceedings when she broke the GOP’s own rules and leaked a photo from the closed-door deposition. At one point, someone in the room can be heard asking whether releasing images of Clinton mid-testimony was “permissible and consistent with the rules,” especially given that Democrats had requested a public hearing.

Hillary Clinton finding out Lauren Boebert is posting photos of her testimony: “If you guys are doing that, I am done. You can hold me in contempt from now until the cows come home. this is just typical behavior… We all are abiding by the same rules.”

Boebert: “I… I will take that down.”

Clinton, chin resting in her hand in the now-infamous image, did not appear amused. “I’m done with this,” she said. “If you guys are doing that, I am done. You can hold me in contempt from now until the cows come home. This is just typical behavior.” Boebert replied, “I… I will take that down.”

Another flashpoint came when Rep. Nancy Mace (R-S.C.) used her time to do what she does best—and make an Epstein meeting all about herself

“How do you know Howard Lutnick?” Mace asked.

“I know Howard Lutnick because when I was Senator on 9/11, the firm he headed, Cantor Fitzgerald, suffered the greatest loss of life. As I recall, something like 650 of his employees were murdered by terrorists that day.” (Hillary represented New York from 2001 to 2009.) “I know that…” Mace started to reply when Hillary shot back, “You asked the question! I’m gonna answer your question!”

“Now you’re gonna yell at me,” Mace responded, accusing Clinton of being “defiant and indignant” and framing herself as “a survivor trying to look out for other survivors.”

In her opening statement, Hillary accused Republicans of orchestrating an “institutional failure designed to protect one political party and one public official rather than to seek truth and justice,” and repeatedly demanded that Trump—like her—be asked to formally testify on his alleged ties to Epstein.

So far, only Clinton, Bill Clinton, and eight other officials have been subpoenaed. Trump is not among them.

When asked if she believes Trump should also be deposed, she didn’t hesitate. “Absolutely,” she said. “Donald Trump has been held civilly liable for sexual assault by a jury of his peers. Nine members of a jury found him liable in the sexual assault of E. Jean Carroll. That is behavior, that fits a pattern, if one were looking for a pattern.” Your move, Committee.
