Law Roach Knew Exactly What He Was Doing on the SAG Actor Awards’ Red Carpet

Sometimes it’s the winners at award shows who make headlines. Sometimes it’s the presenters’ or the host’s jokes. And occasionally, it’s red carpet chat—every once in a while, someone comes to an award show ready to play and make a little mess. On Sunday night, that was Law Roach at the Actors’ Awards (née Screen Actors Guild Awards), who let slip on the red carpet that Zendaya and Tom Holland are ALREADY MARRIED.

“The wedding’s already happened. You missed it,” he said into an Access Hollywood mic in a hilariously sing-song tone of voice that indicated he knew exactly what he was doing.

The reporter responded the way any sane human would, with her voice jumping like eight octaves as she asked, “Is that true?!”

“It’s very true,” he said as he walked away, adding, “Thank you so much.” No, Mr. Roach, thank YOU.

Law Roach would know; he’s been Zendaya’s faithful stylist for years. When he very publicly quit celebrity styling in 2023, he clarified that his retirement did not encompass his relationship with Zendaya: “She’s my little sister and it’s real love not the fake industry love.”

Interestingly, in the last few weeks, he’s added someone else to his client list: Lauren Sánchez Bezos. The two attended at least one Paris Fashion Week event together, and credit where it’s due; Roach certainly nailed Sánchez Bezos’ signature striver-new-money-desparately-trying-to-look-old-money look.

Roach’s usual looks for Zendaya showcase an incredible level of creativity and individuality. I think about her Dune 2 promo looks at least once a week, and I think I speak for a great many of us here in the unwashed masses when I say I’m dying to see how he styled her for the big day. Zendaya doesn’t strike me as a big-princess-ball-gown gal; maybe a simple, gorgeous slinky column dress?

When—or even if—we ever see her wedding looks (and I’m sure there were multiple) remains to be seen, though, since we don’t have confirmation from the happy couple. But more signs point to this excellent news being true: Page Six said Zendaya was spotted wearing a gold band on her left ring finger last month, and also noted that she’s often let “her jewelry do the talking” when it comes to her relationship; her way of announcing their engagement was appearing on the Golden Globes red carpet with a big old rock.
